Romantic Tragedy

 

This is a series of five paintings called Romantic Tragedy (uncompleted). Each painting illustrates a specific event within that theme. Accompanying each painting is an object, which symbolizes the essence of the narrative. The objects are represented in the paintings anamorphically and strike from the heavens like Cupid's arrow. From one exact point the anamorphic projections spring back into life and form the recognizable shape of the associated object.
